More and more financial experts worldwide are opting for the Certified Financial Modeler certificate course. We take into account the complexity of the topic of financial modeling and the internationality of the financial sector.
The basis for the Certified Financial Modeler course is our course book "Financial Modeling". This book has been published in German by Schäffer-Poeschel Verlag in the 2nd edition and in English by Macmillan Verlag. The editors are Dietmar Ernst and Joachim Häcker. There are 2 paths to becoming a Certified Financial Modeler.
- Professional Excellence - The path for professionals and academics on the way to becoming a financial modeling expert.
- Academic Excellence - The path for students with the desire to receive ECTS credits.
Currently, about 95% of the candidates choose the Professional Excellence path and about 5% of the candidates choose the Academic Excellence path.
How does the Academic Excellence pathway differ from the Professional Excellence pathway? The main difference is that in the Academic Excellence pathway, together with the university certificate and the Certificate Supplement, so-called ECTS are acquired. Students can submit these ECTS for possible recognition in Bachelor's and Master's degree programs.
